Former top aide to Morgan Tsvangirai says his decision to appoint two duties to the MDC presidium could potentially cost the party the Matabeleland vote and lead to serious divisions within the movement.

Alex Magaisa who was advisor to Tsvangirai in the inclusive government but now a lecturer at Kent university in the united kingdom said the ex-premier should have been sensitive to the feelings of the MC supporters in Matabeleland.

Tsvangirai appointed Nelson Chamisa and Elias Mudzuri as vice president to his long time deputy -Thokozani Khupe into the presidium.

Meanwhile, former Zanu-PF Mashonaland West provincial chairperson and Youth Advocacy for Reform and Democracy leader Temba Mliswa has endorsed the recent appointment of Kuwadzana East MP Nelson Chamisa as one of MDC-T's three vice presidents.

Mliswa yesterday said Chamisa's elevation augured well with Yard's push for youth's active participation in national politics. Mliswa added that even if he had presidential ambitions he would willingly stand aside and campaign for Chamisa as he pushes for a youthful president in 2023.
