The Zanu PF United Kingdom chapter has said there is nothing wrong with the people calling their government to account in the advent of escalating economic crisis.
The chapter said elected officials and technocrats are in charge of the day to day running of government business.
"But the wishes being carried out should be that of the people, for the benefit of the people. Since it is the wishes of the people and their interests that are being served, it goes without saying that the officials should report back to the people," said the chapter through is Facebook page.
"In short the officials should be accountable to the people. So in essence there is nothing wrong with the people calling on their government to account. What is wrong is when individuals push their own will on some other people. For example one decides to stay away from work, they should not attack or force another person to join their cause."
Zanu PF UK said by the same token those elected and not elected officials must also keep their finger on the pulse of the nation and for it is only through that they can maintain not only a legal legitimacy but a moral legitimacy as well.
