The First Lady, Dr Grace Mugabe, who had her 51st birthday last weekend, says the celebrations to mark the day will be held soon in the spirit of charity in accordance with her desire.
Speaking in Mazowe, where she runs an orphanage, Dr Mugabe said she could not mark her special day last weekend as she was away attending to her son who underwent an eye surgery.
The Grace Mugabe Children's Home was built from scratch, with the ground breaking ceremony coinciding with the First Lady's 42nd birthday.
With help from well-wishers and the Chinese government, Dr Mugabe has realised one of her life dreams through the children's home.
"I want to dedicate my 51st birthday to the charity work I am doing here," said Dr Mugabe.
About 50 000 square metres of land are under construction at present.
These are accommodating a high school which should open its doors next year, two boys and two girls dormitories which are far apart.
The home now gives shelter to 90 underprivileged children.
