Mawarire seeks refuge in South Africa

Cleric Mawarire, the face of the #ThisFlag campaign says he will remain in South Africa out of concern for his safety after President Robert Mugabe effectively declared him persona non grata in Zimbabwe.

Mawarire said he will not be returning to Harare for a while adding that he was not running away.

He said that he had not expected to be harassed by State security agents just for speaking out against injustices.
