Woman goes 'mad' due to STI

A Harare woman, Barbra Mashunje claims she has gone insane after being continuously infected with deadly STI by her promiscuous husband.
 
Mashunje told a magistrate that she has suffered abuse at the hands of Loveness Rambakuzimbwa.
 
"I have endured this man's abuse for a long time. He assaults me and insults me. I now have a crippled leg because of him. I also have a problem with my eye because he punched me" H-Metro reported.
 
"I have proof of what I am saying because I was treated at the hospital. Apart from physical and verbal abuse he is also failing to take care of me. He does not provide for me as his wife," complained Barbra.
 
According to H-Metro, the husband denied the allegations arguing that he wanted evidence to show that he abuses his wife.
 
"I have moved out of the house because she chased me away. She changed the ownership of the house from my name to her name. This woman is just clever, she is always telling me that I do not know the law.
 
"She is the one who mistreats me because she has rich relatives. I do not know anything about the infections but I know that she once had an infection in the womb after she refused to get her womb cleaned when she suffered a miscarriage.
 
"She is just too clever. All she is accusing me are all lies I do not even know any of this. It is a ploy to get rid of me and take over our property," he said.
 
Magistrate Gamuchirai Siwardi granted Barbra the protection order which bars Loveness from physically and verbally abusing her.
