A NUMBER of Zimbabwean women home and abroad are reportedly fuming and disappointed with the news of Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai's marriage to his long-term lover Locadia Karimatsenga Tembo, Zimdiaspora reported.

The online news website reported that a deluge of women in Harare and Bulawayo have secretly voiced their frustration at the PM's marriage. It is understood that some have called the PM to voice their frustration directly at him.

The women who declined identity say they had been optimistic that they will become wives of the PM who had been a widower since the death of his first wife Susan in a car accident in 2009. Most of these angry women are well-placed and influential.

From the death of Susan, scores of women have been aspiring to be wife of the country's Prime Minister.

At the time of going on Press, it could not be establish whether the PM had been a playboy or had promised these women anything. The public anger by women is raising more questions than answers.

There are reports that even Zimbabwean women as far afield as USA, UK, Australia have also expressed disappointment as their ambitions were suddenly shattered by the PM's marriage news.

PM Tsvangirai paid 10 cattle for Ms Tembo that was delivered to the in-laws as part of the package yesterday.

It is further alleged that he was also charged five cattle at US$400 per beast.
