THE Minister of State for Midlands Provincial Affairs Jason Machaya, who was involved in an accident last month, is recuperating at his home in Gweru following his discharge from a Harare hospital last week.
Machaya was injured when one of the wheels of his Land Rover Discovery 4 came off resulting in the vehicle veering off the road and overturning along the Harare-Gweru Road, just outside Chegutu.
He was travelling alone from Harare to his farm in Kwekwe.
In an interview yesterday, Machaya said he was feeling much better although he is yet to resume official duties.
"Yes I was discharged from hospital and I'm recuperating from home. I'm feeling much better," he said.
Machaya said he would be going to the hospital for check-ups after having been admitted for a week.
At the just ended Heroes and Defence Forces Day commemorations held on Monday and Tuesday, the Midlands Provincial Administrator, Mrs Cecelia Chitiyo, read President Mugabe's speeches on behalf of Machaya.
