One night stand costly for a Mbare man

A ONE night stand for a Mbare man Jephias Makaripe (42) proved costly after a woman he met in a kombi and quickly fell in love took off with his property.

The property included his late wife utensils.

Makaripe lost the property after she left the woman only known as Ashley in his house while he went to work.

They had spent the night together, H-Metro reported.

However, upon his return he found the house almost empty.

Ashley is said to have hired a truck to collect her belongings together with Jephias' property that included his late wife's utensils that were still to be distributed to her relatives according to her custom.

"My biggest worry brother is the clothes and utensils of my late wife that were still to be distributed after she passed on in 2013," said Jephias.

"It was better for her to take my passport and my belongings than taking my late wife's goods and I do not know where she is now staying.

"I met this lady in a kombi from the city centre to Mbare and we fell in love a few days later and she asked to cohabit with me since I was alone at home.

"She brought her few belongings and we started living together for only a day and the following day she went away with almost everything that included my mops and sweeping brooms.

"I want to suspect that she is a serial thief because I received a report that several men visited where she used to stay complaining about losing their belongings to her.

"She was staying in Mainway Meadows and her landlord informed me that several men approached him over Ashley claiming that they lost their cellphones and cash to her.

"I want to believe that she uses juju because within two days of our affair I was convinced to cohabit with her.

"She stunned our neighbours on the first day by pouring urine on their vegetable bed on the first day she came to this house, I want to believe that it is that urine she uses as juju to fool me in believing her in an affair of just three days.

"I regret falling in love with her, apa ndezvekusangana mukombi and I do not know how to go about although I lodged a police report against her," said Jephias.
