Sungura singer pose as sangoma, thoroughly assaulted

A sungura musician with ten albums under his belt, Obvious Mutani, was left for dead after he was thoroughly assaulted by unsuspecting clients after he was exposed for masquerading as a sangoma.

Mutani, band leader of Sungano Express was saved by members of the community, H-Metro reported.

According to H-Metro, Obvious was part of a syndicate which operated around Hopley area and its environs claiming to be traditional healers.

Mutani has pictures of himself hold regalia similar to those of sangoma's.

"Yes it's true I am the one who was photographed; I was just called to the scene where Madzibaba Felo had retrieved the items when he attended a certain client.

"I am now a victim of cyber bullying because my photograph holding those items (charms) have gone viral with the potential to do harm on my career.

"I was only a spectator but ended up as a victim as is the case right now," said Mutani.
