Suspected thief nabbed, bashed

AN unidentified man, believed to be in a habit of stealing wares around Waterfalls, was yesterday apprehended and given a thorough hiding.

Only identifying himself as Tasani, the young bloke from Mbare, was caught red handed stealing clothes from bales and wearing some before three of his friends escaped.

Tasani was given a thrashing by one Amai Stizha and a group of people from the neighbourhood.

"These boys were in the habit of stealing our clothes and anything they would find outside whenever they pass through this place.

"Today they run out of luck after I caught one of them in the act. I called my neighbours and we taught him a lesson," said Amai Stizha.

Tasani pleaded for his innocence saying he was only sent by some women who were in the same business.

The suspected thief was taken to police where he said he would lead them to his other friends.
