MDC-T youth chairman Solomon Madzore's wife and an unidentified woman yesterday broke into tears at the High Court following the fifth postponement of the politician's bail application on charges of murdering a senior police officer in Harare.
The wife's face changed after Justice Mary Zimba-Dube deferred the proceedings to Wednesday next week to allow defence lawyer Mr Gift Mutisi to file an additional affidavit by MDC-T spokesperson Douglas Mwonzora to prove that Madzore was not on the run.
The lawyer is expected to serve the State and the court with some video clips to prove that at the time the police claim Madzore was on the run, he was actually attending public gatherings.
Justice Zimba-Dube postponed the case leaving Madzore's wife failing to come to terms with the delay.
Some women unsuccessfully tried to calm her down until Mwonzora and the lawyer explained the advantages for the production of the evidence to her in front of the main entrance to the High Court.
