'We are racing against time,' says Biti

Opposition groups buoyed by the meeting between former vice president Joice Mujuru and Morgan Tsvangirai in Gweru last week want a swift conclusion to talks that will lead to the formation of the eagerly awaiting grand coalition.

This comes at a time when Zanu PF is facing growing pressure from a restive populace which has staged numerous demonstrations in protest over the country's deepening economic rot.

PDP leader Tendai Biti said time was running out for the position to form the union.
