A carjacker, who was sentenced to an effective 11-year jail term in 2004 and made an appeal against sentence before fleeing to South Africa, has been arrested and sent back to prison.
Michael Mafuta Chioza (39) had been on the run for the past six years after he was convicted of carjacking and sentenced to 14 years in prison on August 24 2004.
He made an appeal to the High Court against sentence and during that time he fled to South Africa.
Justices Lawrence Kamocha and Susan Mavangira dismissed his appeal on November 10 2005 and since then he was on a warrant of arrest.
