Zanu PF National Political Commissar, Saviour Kasukuwere has condemned the protests, reminding individuals and groups that want to effect regime change through violent protests that President Robert Mugabe was elected democratically.

He said the recent protests are a reflection that opposition political parties are violent in nature and are against the developmental thrust that the country espouses.

"The protestors are misguided as they fail to realise that President Mugabe was democratically elected and still has years before his mandate expires in 2018," Kasukuwere.

MDC-T youths last week went on a rampage in Harare, destroying property, stoning motorists and setting tyres ablaze.
