Police identify vehicles backing violent protests

Police have identified registration numbers of kombis and other vehicles which were delivering dangerous weapons during the MDC-T protests last week.

Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba confirmed the development, adding that police have intensified operations to nab all culprits and is appealing to the public to assist with information on the whereabouts of the man who burnt a ZBC vehicle.

Charamba also confirmed that several suspected MDC-T thugs who were nabbed attempting to set the Zanu-PF headquarters ablaze have been taken to court where they were remanded in custody.

Zanu-PF National Youth Secretary General, Kudakwashe Ndavara and the party's Youth League Secretary for Information and Publicity, Evelyn Mpofu castigated the violent protesters who targeted the party headquarters, saying such dirty tactics should be condemned.
