Suspected Zanu PF activists on Sunday allegedly assaulted two Zimbabwe People First (ZimPF) youths for attending party leader Joice Mujuru's campaign rally in Bindura on Saturday.
The victims, Lawrence Malibu and Onias Manyika, said they reported the incidents at Bindura Police Station under RRB2893036 and RRB2893035, respectively. ZimPF Mashonaland Central interim provincial chairperson, Godfrey Chimombe, yesterday said that the attacks occurred at Chiwaridzo Farm, Ward 7 in Bindura North constituency.
During the mobilization ahead of the weekend rally, about six ZimPF supporters had their homes torched, as suspected Zanu PF terror group's intimidated people not to attend the rally.
