A Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) commissioner Qhubani Moyo has claimed that the electoral body has never seen opposition parties under the banner of National Electoral Reforms Agenda (NERA) electoral reform demand document.
NERA want government to implement comprehensive electoral reforms that will ensure free and fair elections come 2018.
The opposition parties are also demanding that ZEC chairperson Rita Makarau relinquish either the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission post or that of secretary at the Judicial Services Commission.
Moyo, suggested that ZEC is yet to get hold of the document.
He posted on his official Facebook account today:
"Where can one access the document detailing electoral reforms demanded by NERA and other groupings?.I have tried to get a copy but have failed. If anyone out there has one please send on my qmoyo2000@yahoo.co.uk".
His comment attracted several responses.
Nkosana Dlamini said "Commissioner, just rewind to your opposition days and you are sorted. Lol".
Moyo was once a top member with Welshman Ncube led MDC contested 2013 elections in Filabusi.
He ditched the party soon after a crushing defeat.
Bulisani Ncube weighed in "Qhubani is this post an honest inquiry???. One of the demands non involvement of Mudede in voter registration."
Moyo responded saying, "Fellow Zimbabweas I am very honest, I am yet to set my eyes on the copy and genuinely want to have a look at them. Please help of you can !!!".
His former colleague in MDC Kurauone Chihwayi said, "so there will be no need to deliver another copy to Makarau after the 16 days.Seeing this as an intelligent way of stopping the NERA march to ZEC".
