MDC-T spokesperson Obert Gutu who is also a practicing lawyer has challenged the judiciary to stick to the ethics in the advent of Zanu PF and President Robert Mugabe's threats after the court recently granted the National Electoral Reform Agenda (Nera) which later turned violent after police attacked the protesters.
"As a practicing lawyer and officer of the court myself,I kindly call upon the Zimbabwean judiciary to strictly adhere to their ethics and integrity and thus,to strenuously and resolutely resist all forms of political manipulation and/or improper and untoward interference from any quarter," Gutu said.
"A weak, biased, corrupt and politically compromised judiciary is the major catalyst to the breakdown of the rule of law."
