Students in all he 10 provinces of Zimbabwe have threatened to start the 2012 semester with mass protests if they do not get the $65 million allocated to students under a loan and grant scheme in the national budget presented by Finance minister Tendai Biti last Thursday.
Some youths have slammed the 2012 National Budget and accused Finance Minister Tendai Biti of sidelining them from participating in the mainstream economy.
In his $4 billion budget last week, Biti allocated $2 million to the youths for projects, a figure the latter described as an "insult".
