Mugabe jets off to Zambia, expected to fly to Venezuela

President Robert Mugabe has arrived in Lusaka, Zambia for tomorrows inauguration of President Edgar Chagwa Lungu.

The inauguration was delayed for almost a month due to a court petition by the losing opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) that challenged both the election results and the inauguration of the winner of the August 11 poll, ZBC reported.

However, Bulawayo24.com understands that the Zambia trip is the start of his  punishing travel itinerary in coming weeks.

Mugabe (92) is expected to fly to Venezuela and later to New York for the United  Nations General Assembly session.
