Rebel war vets arrested without a warrant

Police are still to complete a docket for five rebel war veterans arrested on charges of insulting President Robert Mugabe.
The five are Douglas Mahiya, Francis Nhando, Victor Matemadanda, Headman Moyo and Samuel Bhila.
Prosecutor Tapiwa Kasema on Wednesday told a Harare court that "The accused were arrested without a warrant on a reasonable suspicion that they committed an offence.
"The docket is almost complete and accused should remain on remand until trial date."
