THE Zimbabwe Republic Police has reacted angrily a story published in The Standard on 18 September 2016 titled "Police open fire as protests spread."
The ZRP said, "The story is false and smacks of sensationalised journalism which has openly turned political and threw all tenets of journalism through the window in order to achieve one's political objectives."
The police said there we no firearm or live bullets used in the perceived protests throughout the country. Police demanded anyone with evidence of live bullets being fired to come forward.
They said only 21 people where arrested countrywide.
