Prophet Magaya in prison a hoax

PHD Ministries's leader Prophet Walter Magaya who is facing allegations of rape has not been slapped with a 23-year jail term contrary to reports doing rounds on social media.

The popular prophet appeared in court on Thursday and his matter was further remanded to September 28.

Reports circulated that the PHD Ministries leader has been jailed but it turned out to be a hoax as the matter is not yet on trial.

The State indicated that investigations are now complete and applied to have the matter remanded to September 28.

Meanwhile, Magaya's bail conditions have been relaxed from reporting thrice a week to the police to once every Friday after an application by his lawyers.
