Proponents of the Mthwakazi kingdom who are against former Vice President Joice Mujuru visiting Gukurahundi sites have vowed to fight to the bitter end to stop the newly formed Zimbabwe People First party leader from visiting Gukurahundi graves in Matabeleland.

Speaking to Bulawayo24 News on condition of anonymity for "security reasons" sources within the radical pressure groupings warned that following Saturday's skirmishes at a Mujuru rally in Pretoria they are now more committed to confront the former ZANU PF leader harder to get answers on the Gukurahundi atrocities.

About four Matabeleland activists were bundled out of Mujuru's rally in Mamelodi South Africa after trying to force themselves through a security barricade demanding to talk to Mujuru for answers on her role on Gukurahundi and to tell her to stop her plans to visit Gukurahundi sites.

The sources said that they have since gone back to the drawing board to strategize plan B which they will use to deliver their message in person to Mujuru to get her hands off the Gukurahundi sites and not even talk about Gukurahundi at all.

"Mujuru killed our parents with her husband and (President) Mugabe and she now wants to go back to the graves they created, not in our life time," said a source who claims to have been at the Pretoria rally.

Mujuru is quoted as having  told her supporters in Gwanda a few weeks ago that she wants to visit Bhalagwe Mine where thousands of Gukurahundi victims were thrown down the disused mine shafts.

Her intentions have been met with massive resistance from people of Matabeleland who feel she must not go to the graves as she was part of the government that inflicted the Gukurahundi atrocities on the people of the region.
