Pastors assault drunkard, church burnt-down

Pastors with Zion church ganged up and thoroughly assaulted Eliphas Ncube who had burnt down their church while drunk during a church service at night.

On 30 July,  Ncube stormed the church as Pastor Innocent Ncube was in the middle of a  service, a magistrate heard.

The drunk Ncube  is said to have demanded to see his wife but was blocked.

 That did not go down with him as he armed himself with an axe and okapi knife forcing church members to flee as he  threatened to kill the pastor.

He burnt down the building and proceeded to also torch a bedroom hut.

Angered by his act, pastors teamed up and beat Ncube who claimed he was too drunk to recall the incident.
