The road leading to President Robert Mugabe's Zvimba rural home is being rehabilitated to the tune of $500 000.
According to Zvimba Rural District Council chief executive officer Peter Hlohla, the Robert Mugabe Highway is being taken care of through funds from the Zimbabwe National Roads Administration (Zinara).
Zinara board is chaired by Albert Mugabe.
"That is a national road, it is being it is being resurfaced by the Ministry of Transport using Zinara funds.
"As Zvimba Rural District Council, we are not involved in that project," Hlohla is quoted saying.
The country's road network is in a deplorable state with 30% in urgent need of rehabilitation.
