The Attorney General's Office has seized office keys of one of the 5 prosecutors who were fired for leading a strike that crippled the justice delivery system last month.
Mehluli Tshuma's keys were confiscated amid fears that it was part of attempts to target members of the Zimbabwe Law Officers Association who were dismissed by AG Johannes Tomana.
The legal battle pitting Attorney-General Johannes Tomana and 5 executive leaders of the Zimbabwe Law Officers Association, whose certificates to prosecute were withdrawn, will on Monday be heard in an open court as an opposed matter.
Initially, Ziloa leadership - through Beatrice Mtetwa of Mtetwa and Nyambirai - filed an urgent chamber application seeking the immediate restoration of their prosecuting authority withdrawn by Tomana, but several opposing papers and counter affidavits were filed resulting in the matter being taken as an ordinary opposed application.
Yesterday, Justice Ben Hlatshwayo deferred the matter to allow Mtetwa to go through the AG's heads of argument that were received late.
Leopold Mudisi, Dereck Charamba, Musekiwa Mbanje, Patrobs Dube and Mehluli Tshuma, argue that the AG was not their employer and his actions were tantamount to dismissal from work.
