Bond notes are a mischievous development - Dabengwa

The impending introduction of bond notes has been described as mischievous development.

Zapu leader Dumiso Dabengwa said the country will struggle to finance internationally obligations.

"We are strongly opposed to the introduction of worthless paper money that will amount to the mopping up of hard-earned foreign currency,in" said DabengwonSaturday.

"The move is mischievous because we know that in the absence of investor-friendly policies, there will be no capacity to pay our way internationally and get back to productivity,"  The first batch of the notes which are facing resistance would be injected end of October in time for civil servants bonuses.
