Man in trouble for vandalizing bar windows

A man from Mahatshula North is in trouble after he ran amok and destroyed the bar window panes and laptop using stones following a dispute with his drinking mates.

Khulule Dube was not asked to plead to malicious damage to property charges when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Adeline Mbeure. The matter was remanded to today for trial.

The court heard that on September 19 at 10pm Dube was at Sompisi Bar in Mahatshula Bulawayo drinking beer with colleagues when a quarrel ensued.

He allegedly went away and later returned to the bar armed with stones which he pelted to the bar destroying the window panes and a Dell laptop.

The damaged property worth $550 and a report made to the police led to his arrest.
