Erratic water supplies experienced in parts of Harare

Harare Residents Trust has reported that some parts of Harare suburbs experienced erratic water supplies on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The affected suburbs were Highfield Cherima where it was reported that there is no water for the past two days in the suburb
"At Lochnivar- it was reported that there is no water in the suburb for the past two days," said the trust.
"At Willowvale- Along Willowvale Road between Simon Mazorodze and Harare Drive there is a big pipe letting out water. Water is gushing out at approximately 200 litres per minute while residents are going for days with no water."
The trust said Highfield Egypt had no water since Tuesday.
"Tynwald South- Water was disconnected in the morning on Wednesday,said the trust. "At Western Triangle- water was disconnected in the morning on Wednesday. At Kuwadzana 6- water was disconnected in the morning on Wednesday."
"Msasa Park- the suburb has gone for four weeks without water. A resident reported that, '"Vekumvura vakaoma vatotumira Messenger of Court kuno kuMsasa Park auya achitora zvinhu plus apa vakuti mabill statement iko kusina maservices, mvura yacho akuna"
The trust said Mbare- had no water since Monday 26 September 2016 and the continuous erratic supply of water by the council is affecting residents, as the council is failing to inform residents on time that they will be a shutdown for them to get prepared on time.
"Furthermore, the council goes on to attach properties in communities were they are failing to fulfil their mandate of supplying adequate services. This failure continuous to kill the confidence that the residents.have in their council and in turn they will not honor their monthly dues,"the trust said.
