THE Deputy Minister of Public Service, Andrew Langa stormed Esigodini Agricultural College demanding to know why the principal humiliated his son in front of other students and forced him to remove a T–shirt with an anti-sanctions message.
The incident, which happened on Wednesday, was witnessed by students and villagers.
Langa, who is alleged to have been accompanied by war veterans, confronted the college officials and it is alleged that he said:
"I have come here as a parent to get clarification on why my son, Moses Langa, was humiliated in front of other students. And why he was forced to remove a Government T-shirt.
"I would have understood if he was wearing a T shirt belonging to a political party, since education institutions are supposed to be apolitical," argued Langa.
An irate war veteran is alleged to haven shouted at the college principal saying:
"You are an imperialist agent. You decided to shout at the boy in front of his friends. You left others who had T shirts that had the American flag and pictures of Osama Bin Laden," said the war veteran.
The college principal only known as Mrs Moyo apologized to Langa and the war veterans. The anti-sanctions campaign is a Zanu PF project.
