Linda Masarira poisoned, claims Biti

People's Democratic Party (PDP) leader Tendai Biti has suggested that activist Linda Masarira could have been poisoned in remand prison.

"Greetings from a cheerful recovering Linda. They were probably slowly poisoning her" he wrote on his official twitter account.

Biti posted a picture of Masarira, a senior official of  PDP in hospital.

She fell ill on Tuesday and was admitted at the Avenues Clinic in Harare.

A magistrate has since issued a warrent of arrest for Masarira after failing to turn up in court.

Just last week, Masarira gave an interview saying she saw arrested activists being injected with an unknown substance.

She suspected they where being poisoned.
