Former cabinet minister Christopher Mutsvangwa has pleaded with President Robert Mugabe to speedily sack Higher and Tertiary Education minister Jonathan Moyo.

Mutsvangwa described Moyo as a crime-ridden minister.

Moyo stand accused of raided Zimdef coffers and got away with over $430 000 of the funds.

Zimdef is now retrenching workers as it is broke.

"Mugabe must dump this crime-ridden minister to salvage his increasingly soiled legacy" he said.

"How can Mugabe's most trusted official be a thief and fraudster with a sordid historical background of wartime deserter-turned-traitor?".

Last week, Mugabe blocked Moyo's arrest soon after a Zanu PF Politburo session.

Moyo justified his action equating himself to Robin Hood.

"You can say what you want but I would rather be a Robin Hood than a cruel tribalist, murderer & UN identified cross border diamond thief!"

Robin Hood is a legendary outlaw in English folklore who would steal from the rich to give to the poor.
