A team of engineers will be on site this week to carry out a final assessment of the multi-million dollar project ahead of its commissioning.
According to information from the responsible authorities, the final inspection will commence from the 25th of October.
Zimbabwe Council for Tourism president Mr Francis Ngwenya said the industry is excited about the finalisation of the project which he says the modern facility will unlock new opportunities for the sector and boost tourists' arrivals.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe initiated the airport expansion project in February 2013 to boost its aircraft handling capacity and tourism in Victoria Falls funded by China-Exim Bank and constructed by China Jiangsu International Group.
