'Tsvangirai a Chameleon masquerading as a Democrat'

Mthwakazi Republic Party Foreign affairs secretary Ackim Mhlanga Gasela has described MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai as Chameleon and not a good candidate for democratic reforms.

He said it is now vivid to every sane person that Tsvangirai who most of us used praise and hero-worship is not a good candidate for democratic reform in the Zimbabwean politics for many reasons of which people can spend the whole day unpacking.

"Few months ago Tsvangirai and his rotten MDCT donated Bulawayo seats to their spiritual god father Robert Mugabe and Zanu PF, not any efforts were made by his party to support Zapu which contested the election," said Gasela.

"MRP is now shocked by the information that has been published, where Norton's newly- elected Member of Parliament Temba Mliswa paid courtesy call on Tsvangirai yesterday and praised the Movement for Democratic Change led by Morgan Tsvangirai for giving him a helping hand in winning the seat against Zanu PF's Ronald Chindedza."

He said the million dollar question is how important is Norton to Bulawayo's five seats that have gone to Zanu PF?

"If Tsvangirai is a true Democrat and really cares about Bulawayo why didn't he supports the Parties and independent candidates that contented in the city's by- elections in 2015?" he said.

"This is the same Tsvangirai who expelled Biti and other MPs from his MDCT Party sometime early last year and forced by- elections where in Bulawayo five seats became vacant also another in Tsholotsho. In these by- elections Tsvangirai said was not going to participate citing lack of electoral reforms."

He said these are reforms he failed to implement during the GNU, instead he chose to spend his tenure in government enjoying tea and biscuits with Robert Mugabe, his role model.

"Infact he, together with Tendai Biti boycotted and ordered their members not to vote in Bulawayo and Tsholotsho which resulted in Zanu PF winning resoundingly. They have shown their chameleon tendencies in Norton, why didn't they urge their supporters to vote for Zapu as the party which participated in the by- elections. Their tendencies have shown that they are Zanu PF' projects and are incostistent with their decisions," he said.

"They are also tribalists like all Shonas who will never back anything led by a Ndebele, infact they saw it fit to have those seats donated to ZANU PF, a fellow shona and tribal outfit. This is an eye opener to our Mthwakazi people to stop giving their votes to these Shona parties. Is a by-election worthy in Norton and useless in Mthwakazi?."
