8 congregants who died in head on collision laid to rest

A total of eight Zimbabwe Apostolic church congregants from Muzarabani district who perished in a horrific road accident at Chimanikire, Guruve, last Friday were laid to rest on Sunday.
Police confirmed that eight people died on the spot and not ten as was previously reported.
An archbishop of the church familiar with the situation told Bulawayo24.com that all the congregants who passed on that day are from Muzarabani, four of them being from the same family.
"This lorry was ferrying our congregants from Muzarabani district who were going back home happily but unfortunately stubborn death visited the eight," said the archbishop.
Among the deceased was a pastor popularly known as Moto Muzhinji, his wife, their son and the son's wife.
"Moto Muzhinji's son left a 2 year old baby boy who is now an orphan after loosing both parents in a crash, the orphan escaped the accident unhurt."
It is claimed Moto Muzhinji dreamt about his death the very day the accident occurred but he could not interpret the dream. Apparently it was later interpreted by a prophet yet to be identified by Bulawayo24.com.
The driver of the damaged lorry identified as Gomo, is currently nursing injuries at Guruve hospital.

Gomo blamed the haulage driver for encroaching road lanes and has dismissed speeding allegations.
In the haulage truck there were two people, the driver and his assistant and they both escaped without a scratch.
The Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe suggests that most road accidents are as a result of human error, which manifests in various ways.
According to Traffic Safety Officer Tatenda Chinoda, human error contributed 93,4% to the cause of last year's festive season road traffic accidents.
Only 6,6% of accidents were caused by animals, vehicle defects and adverse road conditions.
