Govt entices civil servants with residential stands

The Zanu PF led Government has dangled more than 100 000 residential stands for civil servants.
Government routinely offer stands to restive civil servants when elections are approaching.
Workers unions on Wednesday had a meeting with Local government minister Saviour Kasukuwere on the issue.
Secretary for Local Government, George Mlilo said "We met them, they made their submissions and we are looking at them".
Progressive Teachers' Union of Zimbabwe secretary general, Mr Raymond Majongwe thanked government for the gesture but said " we believe it will not be just hot air. This will turn out to be one of the best things done for civil servants since 1980".
