Housing Trust ordered to pay $119 000

The Quard Housing Trust in Zimbabwe has been ordered to pay the LLLG Contractors and Engineering Private Limited the sum of $119 000 which it owes on purchase of 80 housing stands.
LLLG Contractors Engineering had filed an application at the Bulawayo High Court seeking an order compelling the Housing Trust to settle the debt.
Bulawayo High Court Judge Justice Nicholas Mathonsi ruled that The Quard Housing Trust must ay the LLLG Contractors Engineering the sum of $119 600 due on account of purchase of 80 housing stands, road network and survey costs.
Representing the LLLG Contractors, Simbarashe Saidi the managing direrctor submitted that on January 9 2013 his company sold 80 stands to the housing trust and also charged it the survey costs.
He said the defendant has failed or neglected to pay purchase price on demand. He said the defendant acknowledge owing the $119 600 for the stands.
The housing Trust failed to enter an appearance to defend the law suit leading to a default judgement being passed in favour of the applicant.
