Zimra boss financed lavish lifestyle from company coffers

Under fire Zimbabwe Revenue Authority Commissioner-General Gershem Pasi was allocating himself unexplained thousands of dollars from Zimra coffers to bankroll his lavish lifestyle, it has emerged.
Pasi is on suspension.
According to reports, Pasi is accused of allocating himself excessive vehicle allowances amounting to $374 451 between 2014 and May 2016.
He cashed in holiday allowances of $205 000 between 2014 and May 2016.
Reports further indicate that Pasi received unexplained salaries to the tune of $121 926 in a year.
Pasi was last Friday served with a letter advising that a disciplinary hearing for him had been set for November 1.
He will answer more than 45 counts of alleged abuse of office and misconduct.
He, however, claimed the charges were fabricated to fix him.
