Zimbabwe People First (ZimPF) has embarked on a door- to- door campagin exercise in Mwenezi district following rally disruptions by the police.
A group of ZimPF members have started moving around the district mobilising and recruiting new members.
Former Minister of State for Masvingo Province Kudakwashe Bhasikiti who was ejected from Zanu PF confirmed the door-to- door campaign through a telephone interview saying many people felt free to discuss political issues inside their homes.
He also added that the exercise was being done to avoid disturbances the party is facing where the Police stops it from holding meetings even when they have clearances.
"We need to effectively reach out to our people and pass on the message hence there is need to visit people in their homes where they are comfortable to discuss issues affecting the country and measures to be taken.. ZimPF teams are on the ground mobilising people for the 2018 elections. We are doing this to give people an understanding of our party as well as recruiting new members", he said.
