President Robert Mugabe has given his nod to the long awaited Special Economic Zones Bill which becomes law.
The ascent coincided with a special visit of Deputy Secretary General of the Chinese National Development and Reform Commission, Mr Fan Hengshan who called on Mugabe at State House in Harare this Monday afternoon.
He was accompanied by a 20-member delegation comprising government officials and businessmen from Gansu Province from the aviation, highway construction, tourism, electricity and state companies management sectors.
A special economic zone is an area in which business and trade laws are tailor made to promote investment through the provision of incentives.
So far, the government has demarcated special economic zones in Harare, Bulawayo and Norton.
