The National Transitional Authority will ensure justice is done for the victims of political violence and the 1980s state sponsored genocide, a political commentator has said.
Vince Musewe said the NTA will work out modalities to ensure that justice for victims of political violence is done.
"The past 36 years has seen the government paying lip service to the national healing and reconciliation agenda. To date victims of Gukurahundi have not found justice nor have the victims of political violence of the years, 2000, 2005 and 2008; nor have the victims of the Fast Track Land Reform Program," Musewe said.
"This has resulted in the increase of intolerance amongst the Zimbabwean people. An NTA will begin a genuine process of national healing and reconciliation for a happier and more peaceful Zimbabwe."
The group called Platform for concerned Citizens have mooted a move to have a transitional authority put in place before the 20018 elections so as to ensure a free and fair election.
