Embattled Higher Education minister Jonathan Moyo is set to skip the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) graduation ceremony tomorrow in Bulawayo.
Moyo is due to appear in court in Harare tomorrow.
He is facing fraud charges on Zimdef funds.
It is understood that Ignatius Chombo would be acting Minister of Higher Education at the graduation ceremony.
President Robert Mugabe who is the chancellor of all state universities is expected to be in attendance.
Recently at Lupane State University, security details confiscated ball point pens and make-up sets from graduates and invited guests.
They feared a repeat episode of University of Zimbabwe graduation when Tonderai Dombo pulled a shocker and demonstrated against the unemployment situation in the country while Mugabe was conferring degrees at the university.
He stood up and waved an A4-sized placard inscribed "graduates today, rovha Mangwana (loafer tomorrow)", as Mugabe watched from the high table.
Dombo was then hurriedly escorted outside the venue and detained by alleged State security agents.
He has since been fined $50 after the institution's disciplinary committee found him guilty of breaching rules of students' conduct.
