Four judges eye Chief Justice post

The Judge President of the High Court Justice George Chiweshe, Supreme Court Judge Paddington Garwe, ZEC Chairperson Rita Makarau, and Deputy Chief Justice Luke Malaba have been listed for a public interview for the post of Chief Justice of Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe Judicial Service Commission announced that the interviews of the Chief Justie posts will be held on December 12, this year at the Rainbow Towers Hotel in  Harare starting at 9am.

"Following the invitation to members of the public and to his Excellency, The President to nominate suitable qualified persons to be appointed to the position of Chief Justice of Zimbabwe, in terms of section 180 (1) and (2) of the constitution, the judicial Service Commission received four (4) valid nominations," reads the notice.

 JSC said the interviews are open to public.
