MDC-T Secretary for Mobilization and Recruitment Job Wiwa Sikhala has accused Vice President Emmerson Mnagagwa for allegedly thinking that he and President Robert Mugabe owes the people of Zimbabwe a life and that the decision as for who should be a national hero rest on the nonagenarian leader.
"When some funny character thinks anyone owes him a live. ...Mnangagwa told the nation that Robert Mugabe told him at the airport on his way out to his endless international sojourns that one of simplest characters I ever met in our politics Cephas Msipa was the national hero and that no one should question what the two agreed in a whisper at the airport," he said.
"There is no doubt to any Zimbabwean that Msipa was a national hero. He deserved it more than several pretenders at the Zanu PF shrine located in Warren Park. What's nauseating about such pompous and arrogant talk is multifarious: Mnangagwa thinks that he and Mugabe owes us a life."
He said Mnagahwa also thinks that the decision of who the national hero in Zimbabwe is, is decided by Robert Mugabe and Robert Mugabe alone.
"He has surrogated himself the role of determining who a hero in Zimbabwe is as if he is a hero himself any longer. That the decision made by him should not be questioned based on the false pretence that he is the first and last sayer," he said.
"That all Zimbabweans should jump in jubilation celebrating everything that come out of Mugabe 's mouth. We now know that the decision not to recognise the good works of our departed heroes such as Thenjiwe Lesabe, Ndabaningi Sithole, Lookout Masuku and many others were made by Mugabe."
He said unbeknown to Mugabe and Mnangagwa Zimbabweans no longer pay any attention to whatever they say or do.
"The two are seen as sick jokes who deserve no one's attention. Their time has long expired. Sorry you failures of the nation of Zimbabwe no one owes you a life. You are just tormentors of our motherland," he said.
