Zimbabwe People's First spokesperson, Jealousy Mawarire has claimed that the courts are fast being abused to harass opposition political activists.
Mawarire made the claims after he appeared at Rotten Row Magistrates court in Harare today (Tuesday).
Mawarire is being charged again for shooting a stray dog in his yard in 2014 as the police revived a case which died two years ago.
He was freed in 2014 after the state refused to prosecute him.
He was being charged with malicious damage to property.
After his appearance he said "Back from the Magistrate's court, state fails to provide complainant.
" Case to proceed by way of summons. Clear case of political harassment," he wrote on his official twitter account.
He added that the complainant told police in 2014 that he had no interest appearing in court.
"I Wonder who is now the complainant.
"Now courts being abused to harass opposition political activists. How can a 2014 case fail to takeoff when I was served summons on 08 Oct?".
