Notorious robber 'Anyway' nabbed

Notorious robber from Earling Farm in Mvurwi, Mashonaland Central, was finally arrested yesterday (Monday) after robbing a woman of her groceries worth US$69.00.
It is alleged Anyway Mwanze was hiding in a bush when the complainant Sibongile Jamu was coming from Mvurwi town with her groceries and Mwanze pounced on her and assaulted her before robbing her of her groceries.
Sources close to the investigations said Mwanze is an alleged notorious criminal who is on record of robbing people in broad day light and disappearing in surrounding bushes.
"Mwanze was on our wanted list as he is on record of robbing people during the day and basing on descriptions given by complainants and his modus operandi he matches the culprit.
"He should face the full wrath of law as he once assaulted another woman who was on her where to fetch her son at Earling primary before taking her phone and disappearing in the bushes.
"Some time early this year he also robbed a woman only identified as Mrs Mutandadzi who had an undisclosed amount of cash intending to pay her farm workers," explained the source.
Meanwhile, cases of robbery are on the increase in Mashonaland Central and police is on high alert.
