A Ceasor Mine woman Shylin Tennis is in police custody after mediating in a cash withdrawal on behalf of her neighbour and mysteriously losing the US$100 note before giving it to the owner yesterday (Wednesday).
Eye witnesses allege that Tennis approached two kombi operators and asked them to withdraw cash from Golly's wholesale in Mvurwi as the cash crisis continues to torment Zimbabwe.
The two apparently managed to withdraw a US$100 note on behalf of Tennis, who then confirmed receiving the money.
However, now she cannot explain how she lost the money.
Speaking to Bulawayo24.com Tennis suspects the use of juju in the whole incident claiming she handled the money only to lose it when surrendering the note to the owner.
"I did receive the money my brother and shrunk it to check if it was real money but how it disappeared ummmmmm it is really a puzzle these guys must have used juju on me we searched everywhere to no avail," explained Tennis.
Tennis is being charged with theft and is set to appear in court today at Guruve magistrate's court.
