The Environment Management Committee (EMA) is blaming the City of Harare for failing to resolve dumpsite problems leading to random dumping of the refuse.
Harare Residents Trust revealed that the Environment Management Committee is blaming the City of Harare for failing to resolve the issue at Pomona Dumpsite through finding a proper land fill for dumping which is away from residential areas.
"The incident of fire breakout once happened in 2013 and since then the council has failed to resolve this problem. This failure puts the health of residents at risk as they are exposed to thick smoke," said the trust.
The blame come amid reports there was sprouting levels of illegal dumping in the capital city amid fears that there would be soon an outbreak of diseases.
