The ruling Zanu PF has been accused of starting to buy votes by giving the war veterans vehicles.
"Zanu PF has spent millions of dollars to bribe war veterans with cars for support in 2018 elections," said a critique.
"Zanu PF unveiled more than a dozen cars to kickstart the 2018 election campaign, with reports that more than 400 top-of-the-range off-road vehicles worth more than $20 million are expected, as the country swings into election mode."
The critiques said Zanu PF handed over 13 Ford Ranger vehicles to war veterans through their minister, Tshinga Dube, at the Zanu PF headquarters in Harare before a politburo meeting.
Each two twin trucks cost $55 000 and 11 single cab car cost $49 000 each.
The vehicles will be deployed to all provinces, while they await more cars for distribution to party provincial structures and organs.
Zanu PF sources said the fleet was part of a bigger consignment for all "crucial party departments" ahead of the crunch 2018 elections.
Reports say there are more cars to be disbursed by Zanu PF as the elections draw closer.
